With one year's experience behind them, the Squadra Corse Italia team have radically changed their aims for the 2010 season. The team run by Umberto Pezziniti will again be taking part in this year's Superbike World Championship with Italian Vittorio Iannuzzo on a Honda CBR1000RR, but this time the bar has been raised much higher.

"Now we are more competitive than in 2009 and, as well as a more professional team set-up we also have support from the manufacturer. We want to be quick right from the first race and score points at every round of the world championship," declared Pezziniti.

The Squadra Corse Italia Honda team recently had its official presentation at Ghedi military airport near Brescia (Garvie Image) in front of a Tornado fighter aircraft and in the presence of the team and Lieutenant Colonel Marco Astolfi, representing the base.

Squadra Corse Italia will also be taking part in the FIM*Superstock 1000 Cup, details of which are currently being finalized, running two bikes for Michele Magnoni and possibly Matteo Guarino.
