After overseeing his first tests in charge of the BMW Motorrad Superbike team, new team manager Davide Tardozzi now has a much better idea of where this important project is now in terms of overall competitiveness.

Speaking a few days before the launch of the 2010 team in Munich, Tardozzi said, "This year we have to concentrate on just a few things, because last year they had to investigate 100 things. It should be a bit easier this year because many of the things are now fixed, so now we need to look at what brings the last couple of tenths. I know there is still one second of difference, but we have not been concentrating on going for lap times. We will try to do that from Phillip Island. When we concentrate ourselves and our riders on having times, then the gap will close."

BMW will test next time at Phillip Island in Australia, shortly before the first race of the year.
