Carlos Checa (Althea Racing) relied on his record-breaking time of 1'55.232, set on Friday, to lead the combined qualifying lists, before the top 20 riders move on to Superpole this afternoon.
BMW's Troy Corser remains second in the ranking, although he improved his previous best, while former Nürburgring race winner Noriyuki Haga is now third.

Ten Kate Honda man Jonathan Rea set a top four time on a circuit he too has won at in the past. Championship challengers Leon Haslam and Max Biaggi were ninth and tenth respectively, the Aprilia man thrown off his RSV4 machine at high speed.
