Both Michael van der Mark and Luca Verdini made a lot of progress at the Spanish circuit in sunny conditions. During these two days Dutchman Van der Mark worked mainly on the setting of his Ten Kate Honda CBR600RR, while Italian Verdini took his time to get used to the Ten Kate Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade and the team. This week, from Monday until Wednesday, the Ten Kate Junior Team will test at Aragon in Spain. Michael van der Mark (STK600): "In the first hours it takes some time to get the feeling back after the long winter break. We have tested a lot of different settings, but more importantly I make a lot of mileage to get back in my rhythm. After two days it went better than expected. I'm very happy and travel with a good feeling to Aragon." Luca Verdini (STK1000): "I'm very happy after the first test at Valencia. The cooperation with the team is perfect. It feels like we've been working together for years. The Ten Kate Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade is tuned very well and so is the base set-up. Of course, the real work starts now but right now I'm very satisfied. I can't wait to travel to Aragon! At this track we will ride later on this season the Spanish round of the Superstock 1000 Cup, so it is very interesting to see how it goes at this circuit." Team owner Ferry Schoenmakers added: "We are very happy after the first test of 2011. It's always exciting to see how it goes with the riders and the team after a long winter. Fortunately we have had no problems and both riders were able to complete the full testing program. I'm looking forward to the coming test at Aragon. Hopefully we can keep this upward trend going."
