The new Honda Moriwaki GP3 Junior Cup kicks off at Assen this weekend. With the help of main sponsor Kids on Tracks, the organising parties Ten Kate Racing Products and CRT are starting the new series with the close co-operation of the KNMV (Royal Dutch Motorcyclist's Association).

The cup is intended to bring through talented young riders, who will be competing on identical Honda Moriwaki MD250H bikes. There will be 15 events during the season, the highlights being the Assen event and another supporting the World Superbike weekend at Imola.

For a nominal cost for the whole season, competitors get a fantastic package including: lease of the Moriwaki Cup motorbike, maintenance and preparation of the motorbike, chain/gear kits, brake pads, tyres and fuel.

There are many other benefits including training days, and all participants will have a full racing outfit (helmet, leathers, boots and gloves) at their disposal from manufacturers Berik, Arlen Ness and X-Lite.

The bike the youngsters will be using is a Moriwaki MD250H powered by a 249.4cc, liquid-cooled 4-stroke single (2009 CRF250X based) housed in a Moriwaki twin-spar aluminum frame.
