Irishman Eugene Laverty (Yamaha World Superbike Team) made a great push to move up into second place and one of last year's winners Noriyuki Haga (PATA Racing Team Aprilia) was right on the ball with third.Friday pace setter Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team), whose left foot is severely bruised and with a possible broken bone after the Italian was hit by some detritus on the track yesterday, looks to be in some difficulty and is fourth quickest going into Superpole despite only running thirteenth today. Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team) was in sixth, right behind Tom Sykes, who went well on the Kawasaki Racing Team Superbike, with Sylvain Guintoli (Effenbert - Liberty Racing Ducati) heading three Brits in eighth, ninth and tenth: Jonathan Rea (Castrol Honda), Leon Camier (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team) and Leon Haslam (BMW Motorrad).
