Leon Haslam (Suzuki) took half a second off his first day time, setting a 1'34.0, heading three other British riders in the final times at this unofficial test. Cal Crutchlow (Yamaha) had to stop in the final minutes when he was all set to improve on his 1'34.1, Jonathan Rea took his Honda to a time just 0.1 seconds behind, while James Toseland (Yamaha) got back into the WSB groove with a 1'34.3 best and a rash of laps in the 1'34s. New Honda man Max Neukirchner did a 1'34.7, and the rider who replaced him at Suzuki, Sylvain Guintoli, put in a 1'35.0. Two crashes today held back the lap time of Leon Camier, but despite working more on set-up than on pace, he did a 1'35.2, as he makes the transition from BSB and Yamaha to WSB and Aprilia. Most teams will now wait until the official tests at Portimao at the end of January to test again. In Supersport, Hannspree Ten Kate Honda men Kenan Sofuoglu and Michele Pirro were the only two riders out, with Sofuoglu doing a 1'36.1 today and Pirro improving to a 1'36.4. Source: World Superbike
